Sustainability requires complete transparency.

So here is our progress right now.

Our Progress

Not a Brand. is a project that combines my love for fashion with sustainability, second-hand sourcing, and creative innovation. Rather than letting pieces go in their original form, I want to imagine them into a new life.

We already have an extraordinary amount of clothing, fabric, and material in circulation. Approximately 92 million tonnes of textile waste are generated globally every year - the equivalent of a truckload of clothing being incinerated or sent to a landfill every. single. second?!?!? :( I shed even more tears at the fact that my beloved fashion (& textile) industry is estimated to generate between 2% and 8% of global greenhouse-gas emissions.

So, while there is nothing I worship more than spending grocery money on shopping, which I find nourishes me more. There are clearly more than enough clothes in the world.

Rather than becoming another clothing manufacturer, Not a Brand. reworks what already exists in order to create clothing and accessories without depending on constant production. Since I could lift a pencil, when I was three, and use it to draw coherent pictures, its been my absolute dream to have a career in fashion.

Hopefully, you (whose reading) can follow me along on my journey :))
